Frequently Asked Questions

How much weight can I bring on a Pakistan-Saudi flight?

30 kg checked + 7 kg cabin on Economy is standard for PIA, Saudia, Air Sial, SereneAir, Emirates, Qatar, and Etihad. FlyJinnah base fare is 20 kg checked. Business class is typically 40 kg. Confirm with your airline at booking.

Can I pack ZamZam water in my luggage?

No. Saudi customs and most airlines prohibit passenger-packed ZamZam. PIA and Saudia provide a free 5L sealed ZamZam allowance at Jeddah Airport's dedicated ZamZam counter after immigration. Use that.

Do I need to buy Ihram in Pakistan or in Saudi?

Buy at least one set in Pakistan (most airports have Ihram shops in international departure). You can also buy in Saudi from any souq for SAR 30-80. Bring one set, buy a spare in Makkah if needed.

Can I bring my own food snacks?

Yes — sealed, non-perishable snacks (biscuits, dates, dry fruit, namkeen) are permitted. Open or homemade food may be confiscated at Saudi customs.

Should I print this checklist or use it on my phone?

Print it. The day before departure when you're actually packing, your phone is usually charging and inconvenient to keep checking. A printed list pinned to the fridge or a wall is how our group leaders do it.
